The 2025 NFL Draft is just around the corner, and it comes with plenty of speculation and guessing.

As usual, most of the attention is on the quarterbacks, even though this class isn’t particularly deep.

With that in mind, Dianna Russini of The Athletic recently revealed that one QB prospect is climbing up draft boards.

“Tyler Shough, he is a player in this draft, his stock is rising. He is a name that I am hearing in league circles way more now than I was just three weeks ago,” Russini said.

Russini added that he’s now drawing consideration to potentially be taken in the first round.

She also claimed that one current NFL head coach said that Shough was the best quarterback prospect in this class, even ahead of Cam Ward.

Co-host Chase Daniel, on the other hand, claimed that though he didn’t think Shough was in the same tier as Shedeur Sanders or Jaxson Dart, he could be the fourth quarterback off the board.

Shough has the mechanics and physical tools of an NFL-caliber quarterback, but he also suffered serious injuries during his college career, and that could be a major concern going forward.

On top of that, his age is also a factor, as he’s going to be 26 years old by the time he takes the field as an NFL rookie.

However, the talent is evident, and multiple teams might be willing to ignore the negatives to roll the dice with him.
