nearly 800 defensive snaps and nine starts during his career in Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>His arrival creates an interesting competition in the Broncos\u2019 safety room, where he\u2019ll compete with JL Skinner, Delarrin Turner-Yell, and Devon Key for playing time.<\/p>\n<p>Franklin\u2019s special teams prowess might give him an edge in securing a roster spot, complementing the team\u2019s earlier acquisition of Talanoa Hufanga in free agency.<\/p>\n<p>The signing addresses a special teams void created by Tremon Smith\u2019s departure while potentially adding defensive depth.<\/p>\n<p>Franklin
