The New England Patriots got an absolute stud to anchor their running game.
Right after finding Drake Maye’s new best friend in Will Campbell, they doubled down on the offense by getting TreVeyon Henderson, his new lead back.
Now, the former Ohio State Buckeye is ready to embark on his journey in the pros with a new number.
As reported by NFL insider Mike Reiss, he will wear No. 32 in Foxboro.
Rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson will wear No. 32.
Solid history with that number here in New England — of note recently with safety @devinmccourty.

Henderson was one of the most talented running backs expected to enter the league in this year’s stacked class, which is a lot to say.
He was projected to be the third running back of the board after Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty and UNC’s Omarion Hampton.
And while that wasn’t the case, most scouts agreed that he was actually the best player in the Buckeyes’ backfield, even better than Quinshon Judkins, who the Browns took earlier in the second round.
Henderson is at his best when he’s a part of a committee.
He will most likely step up as the primary ball carrier above Rhamondre Stevenson, who had a promising start to his career before struggling to hold onto the football last season.
They can form a dynamic one-two punch to anchor the running game and get the Patriots back to being the run-heavy and efficient team they were for most of the Bill Belichick era.
That’s the best way to help a young quarterback, and the Patriots clearly emphasize surrounding their talented signal-caller with some playmakers.
